2022 has been nothing short of a meteoric year for us.

We recently announced that we’re one of the finalists in the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards 2022, which we’re incredibly, unendingly, fantastically proud of!

Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards acknowledge the successes delivered in the global and diverse partner ecosystem, showcasing innovative solutions on Microsoft cloud and platforms. To compete on a world stage with 3,900 projects in 126 countries is an honour. To be one of only 7 companies in the UK earning this badge is an incredible feeling.

However, we thought we’d take a moment to talk about the human side of our journey in the Microsoft Partner Awards. Specifically, the hundreds of hours in effort from our team — without which we wouldn’t have got to this point.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our clients who let us work at the frontier of innovations in modern endpoint management and cybersecurity.

Read on to get a behind-the-scenes look at our bid in the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards 2022 and what it means to us to have gotten this far.

What are the Microsoft Partner Awards?

Microsoft hosts the Partner of the Year Awards each year, acknowledging outstanding success and innovation in IT services across 100+ countries.  Microsoft considers a wide variety of innovations, ranging from cloud technology deployment and business excellence to sustainability and security.

Our application, in particular, highlighted our work with clients and how we support their security needs through modern endpoint management technologies.

What it means to be a finalist in the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards 2022
Atech was one of the thousands of applicants this year, and we stood alongside some of the biggest names in cloud solutions, like IBM, EY, Hitachi, and Vodafone. Being a finalist in the Modern Endpoint Management category is an immense professional validation for all our team. We can confidently say that our endpoint management services are among the world’s top four available.

We’re all the more proud since 2022 was our first year on the Partner Awards scene, and our award category had some especially fierce competition. We were up against firms with hundreds of thousands of employees, so being recognised among giant industry players has given us a deep sense of satisfaction. Although we didn’t get the ‘David versus Goliath’-style triumph we were hoping for, our position as ‘Finalist’ validates our journey as a business.

Our teams work incredibly hard to continuously advance their skills in Microsoft cloud solutions and stay up to date on the latest security and productivity innovations. Therefore, we couldn’t have gotten to be a finalist this year in the Microsoft Partner Awards without their dedication and ever-growing expertise.

Similarly, our clients have also been an integral part of our growth. Our clients’ continued confidence in our ability to deploy, support and optimise their Microsoft solutions has meant we’ve been able to grow as a business.

Our growth as Microsoft experts and as a cloud managed services partner continues, and we look forward to imparting the skills and expertise that come with this and our recent achievements onto our next client project.

A behind-the-scenes look at our growth as a Microsoft Partner

Our announcement as a finalist in Modern Endpoint Management in the Microsoft Partner Awards comes hot off the heels of a series of achievements and awards recently.

Over the last 12 months, we’ve seen a 56% increase in revenue growth which increased our investment capital for new ventures across 2022. During the same time, we onboarded an additional 25,000 users and 45,000 devices worldwide for clients like the Octopus Group and evestor. Excitingly, our ongoing service reporting finds that we are consistently achieving at least a 94% first-time fix rate for our managed services clients.

Earlier this year, we sought to undertake our first acquisition and in May, we secured funding from Pelican Capital to purchase IMEX Technical. The move represented a huge milestone for us as a company and allowed us to further our strategic growth plans in the coming years.

In March, we attained a new solution designation in Security. This brought our total number of certifications to nine, including in other major domains like Cloud Productivity and Application Integration. We also received a CREST accreditation making us only one of 300 in the world to hold the industry-leading award for our security operations and incident response services.

That’s not all; in June, we secured two new Advanced Specializations in threat protection and identity and access management. These accreditations brought our total number of Advanced Specializations to three, alongside our existing one in Azure Virtual Desktop.

Finally, and most excitingly, our Security Operations Centre (SOC) service using Microsoft solutions exclusively is growing and going from strength to strength after being one of the first pure-play Microsoft SOCs to launch in the UK at the time. This latest development in our services highlights our unique business value in championing security and productivity simultaneously. By establishing wholly-integrated online work environments, we can safeguard our clients’ data and streamline their access to vital apps and files.

Collectively, our awards have allowed us to stand as a unique organisation within the managed services market and demonstrate our strong commitment to best practices.
