1) One-to-one meetings establish career development roadmaps

We encourage all employees to participate in weekly one-to-one meetings with their line manager to co-create their personalised roadmap for career success. These meetings dive into each individual’s short and long-term goals and represent the first vital step in visualising their career trajectory.

2) Identifying the resources that unlock employee’s potential

Forget a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to employee development, we invest in our people based on their unique circumstances. Whether they’ll benefit from specialised training courses, industry certificates or even assistance with working Visas, we cast our net wide to bring them the resources they need.

We firmly believe in removing financial and accessibility roadblocks for our team, so they can focus on what they do best; contributing to Atech’s outstanding track record of success.

3) SMART targets chart a clear progression path

We map employees’ development journey step-by-step by setting smaller goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound (SMART). This helps employees stay motivated as they move steadily towards meeting their goals.

4) Delving into the personal attributes of career development

We go beyond surface-level training courses and resources and look into the deeper attributes that influence career progression. The SOFIA (Strategic, Organisational, Functional, Impact, Assessment) model helps us tailor our development plans according to the individual’s behaviours, characteristics and desired impact.

For example, we believe that combining technical training with in-depth theory (such as learning fundamental security analytics principles) ensures that team members not only perform their roles flawlessly, but also understand its broader impact on the industry. This approach to learning fosters a deeper level of engagement and career satisfaction.

5) Ongoing reviews and support cater to individual needs

We understand that personal growth is a continuous journey, complete with ups and downs. So, we set up monthly review meetings, which act as an open forum for team members to come forward with what they think went well over the previous month, as well as what targets they think may need adjusting.

Mayuri Panchal – Security Analyst

Mayuri joined Atech in April 2022. She showed a strong passion for cybersecurity, as well as a desire to study in the UK, so we didn’t hesitate to support her Visa application and subsequent University of West London journey.

She now has a Master’s degree in Information Systems, and Atech is sponsoring her Graduate Visa – bolstering Mayrui’s career journey.

VamsiKrishna Vasipalli – Security Analyst

Joining Atech in February 2023, Vamsi’s enthusiasm for driving service forward immediately stood out to us.

Vamsi is based in Ahmedabad, India, yet successfully collaborates with the team in the UK, going above and beyond to put service before self on many occasions.

Within six months of starting with us, we promoted him to deputy team leader within Atech’s managed SOC – a role that reflects his dedication to delivering exceptional service.

Nathan Webb – Senior SOC Analyst


Nathan embodies Atech’s inclusive values; consistently exceeding expectations while mentoring others to ensure our services are always putting the client first.

He is a highly talented individual and goes out of his way to ensure that team members feel safe, included and relaxed in their surroundings.

Kinjal Rathod – SOC Engineer
SOC Analyst

Joining Atech in August 2022, Kinjal identified public speaking as an area for development. She proactively sought sponsorship for training courses, showcasing her remarkable growth mindset.

Recognised for her efforts, Kinjal gained a scholarship to attend the WiCyS 2024 Conference in Nashville. She also volunteers at conferences , like Serverless and Google Developers Group in Ahmedabad, and constantly seeks opportunities to empower women in cybersecurity. Atech is happy to award Kinjal the time and resources she needs to pursue her knowledge-building and leadership goals within the broader cybersecurity community.
